Bailing Out!

High Chelmer have recently installed baler machines, enabling separation and presentation of waste materials for recycling. The balers have been introduced to deal with tenant waste and to process large volumes of loose cardboard.

The balers make the site much cleaner and clearer, with waste materials now stacked and stored in bales - improving the whole work environment at the Centre!

Paris Break Winner

During February, High Chelmer, in association with Travelcare, gave shoppers the chance to win a romantic weekend break to Paris! The Centre was inundated with responses to the 'Love is in the air' competition, which invited entrants to say, in 20 words or less, why they loved High Chelmer!

The winner was Tony Nottage from South Woodham Ferrers who said: "For wonderful value and brilliant selection, High Chelmer is Tres Bon, shopping perfection!"

Tony was presented with his prize at the beginning of March by High Chelmer Centre Manager Mick McDonagh, Deputy Centre Manager Amy Grant and Travelcare's Manager, Sarah White.

High Chelmer Charms Shoppers

During February, High Chelmer shoppers were charmed into giving donations to the Helen Rollason Heal Cancer Charity 'Go for Gold Appeal'. Mobile phone charms were stocked by 38 outlets in High Chelmer, with donations of £2 per charm. Retailers participating in the fund raising effort included Keen Menswear, Ravel and Travelcare.

Proceeds from the donations will go towards a new cancer centre in Essex. The centre will offer support services to anyone who has been touched by cancer.
