The Meadows Shopping Centre organised a quiz evening on Monday 10th April where an auction took place on behalf of the Chelmsford Mayor Duncan Lumley to raise money for his three chosen charities, Charms (Multiple sclerosis and neurological disorders); J-F Hospice for 18 - 40year olds (which, once built, will be only the second in the UK) and Essex Wildlife Trust.
The auction consisted of several items including an LCD TV from the Sony Centre worth over £600 donated by the High Chelmer Shopping Centre. The highest bidder, Mr Jeff Thomas, from local radio station Dream FM, collected his prize from the Sony Centre, Market Square, Chelmsford on Saturday 22nd April at 11am along with the Mayor and Mayoress, High Chelmer's Centre Manager Mick McDonagh and the Sony Centre Assistant Manager. | |
